Carlos Alcaraz has set the stage for a memorable battle for ATP Year-End No. 1 presented by PIF honours with Jannik Sinner after winning the Wimbledon title on Sunday.

The Spaniard began The Championships in third place in the PIF ATP Live Race To Turin, but with 2,000 points for triumphing at the grass-court major is now just 250 points behind first-placed Sinner, who dominated the first half of the season.

The PIF ATP Live Race To Turin, which is the season-to-date standings, is a good measuring stick for the year-end No. 1 battle.

Alcaraz in 2022 became the youngest ATP Year-End No. 1 presented by PIF in history aged 19. Now he is well in the battle to accomplish the feat for the second time after winning back-to-back major titles at Roland Garros and Wimbledon.

Sinner, who earned his maiden major trophy at the Australian Open, also emerged victorious at Rotterdam, ATP Masters 1000 Miami and Halle to take a commanding lead in the Live Race. Alcaraz has narrowed that gap in the past month with his Slam wins.

The Lexus ATP Head2Head rivalry between Alcaraz and Sinner has quickly become the most gripping rivalry of the new generation, with the 21-year-old and 22-year-old, respectively, thrilling fans around the world with their play. Alcaraz leads their series 5-4.

Djokovic by reaching the Wimbledon final climbed seven spots to sixth in the Live Race, putting himself in qualifying position for the Nitto ATP Finals, which will be held from 10-17 November. The Serbian is trying to qualify for the year-end championships for the 17th time, which would tie him for second in tournament history with Rafael Nadal.

Of the top eight players in the Live Race, only Alex de Minaur has never competed in the season finale. The seventh-placed Aussie is 240 points ahead of Stefanos Tsitsipas, who currently holds the final qualifying position.
