Top seeds Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos beat the rain and Alexander Erler and Lucas Miedler on Saturday to reach the third round at Roland Garros.
In heavy conditions in Paris, the Spanish-Argentine team advanced 7-6(3), 6-2 in 82 minutes. Granollers and Zeballos won 84 per cent (27/32) of their first-serve points and broke three times, according to Infosys Stats.
Granollers and Zeballos are chasing their first major title together. Earlier this month they won their sixth ATP Masters 1000 crown as a team in Rome.
In other action, N.Sriram Balaji and Miguel Reyes-Varela moved past Frenchmen Dan Added and Theo Arribage 6-4, 3-6, 6-2. Ninth seeds Marcelo Arevalo and Mate Pavic also advanced due to Marcus Daniell and Mackenzie McDonald retiring after a game.
All other doubles matches were cancelled on Saturday due to rain.
