Jarry looked destined to slip to 0-3 in career appearances in Buenos Aires when Wawrinka served for the match at 5-4 in the third set. But the third seed broke to love and soon after made all six first serves in the tie-break, including two aces at the outset.
"I didn't know this was my 100th win; that's amazing," Jarry said. "It was a very tough match and I'm very happy with how I competed and stayed focused. It means a lot and I am very happy for this."
