Sunday's men's singles final is underway at the Mubadala Citi DC Open, where Sebastian Korda and Flavio Cobolli are playing for the ATP 500 title. The men's championship was delayed after rain twice interrupted the women's singles final between Paula Badosa and Marie Bouzkova in Washington.

After Badosa closed out the victory in three sets, the stage was set for the men's title match, which began just before 7:15 p.m. local time.

In the second Lexus ATP Head2Head matchup between the American Korda and Italy's Cobolli, the home favourite is hoping to repeat the result from their Rome meeting earlier this season.

Korda aims for the second and biggest ATP Tour title of his career as he bids to match father Petr Korda (1992) by winning the D.C. title. He is also seeking to become the first American champion at the event since Andy Roddick in 2007. The 22-year-old Cobolli is competing in his first tour-level final.

Both men have saved match points on their way to the title match: Korda saved two against Thanasi Kokkinakis in the third round, while Cobolli fought off five against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the second round.

Both Korda and Cobolli will leave Washington with a career-high PIF ATP Ranking. Coming into the final, Korda is up to No. 19 in the PIF ATP Live Rankings and Cobolli stands at No. 33.
