Edouard Roger-Vasselin, who turned pro in 2002, recorded his 400th career doubles win Friday when he partnered Nicolas Mahut at the BNP Paribas Open.

The Frenchmen rallied past Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and Andreas Mies 2-6, 6-2, 11-9 in the opening round of the ATP Masters 1000 after winning 23 of their 29 first-serve points. Mahut and Roger-Vasselin await either defending champions Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden or Belgians Sander Gille and Joran Vliegen.

Roger-Vasselin, a 28-time doubles titlist on the ATP Tour, hit a career-high No. 6 in the PIF ATP Rankings in 2014, the same year he and countryman Julien Benneteau lifted the trophy at their home Slam, Roland Garros.
