Turned pro in January 1987. A two-time doubles All-America at the University of Arkansas in 1985-86 (w/Tim Siegel), reaching the NCAA doubles semifinals in '86. Began playing tennis at age 13. Coached by Pat Klingelhoets. Earned a career-high $3,919 in 1987.
