Residence: Regensburg, Germany Single Year-by-Year Highlights: 1992- 1991- QF at Kakegawa Ch.;Fourth in doubles at the German Sat. #3 (w/16 pts.). 1990- Fourth at the Carribean Sat. (w/13 pts.). Turned pro in 1991. Did not begin playing tennis until the age of 17. Played many sports sports as a youngster. Started with soccer, then ran the 800 and 1000 meter races in track and field. Also played in the national badminton tournament and finished No. 2 in the world Championship of the combination skiing/tennis in 1989. Plays golf for fun. Finished high school in 1989 and the next year in the military service. Coached by Martin Kratochuvil.
