Began playing tennis aged six. His sister had injured her knee and the family already had courts for the winter. Filip began playing with her coach.
Enjoys practising at home because he feels most comfortable.
Tennis idol was Andy Murray.
Favorite shot is forehand, surface is clay, tournament and city on Tour are both Vienna.
Also likes football. Favourite teams are Dinamo Zagreb and SK Sturm, athlete is Luka Madrid.
Favourite book and movie are both Lord of the Rings.
Hobbies include football, cooking and walking his dog.

Broke into Top 200 in July 2022 and achieved career-high No. 126 in April 2023 after winning 2nd Challenger title at 2023 Roseto Degli Abruzzi from a set and a break down in the final.
Advanced to 2022 Kitzbuhel final in his ATP Tour debut as a 20-year-old WC ranked 205th.
Defeated No. 34 Evans at 2023 Stockholm for biggest win of career as Q, then qualified to make his Grand Slam main draw debut at 2024 Roland Garros.
Qualified and posted 7 wins en route to 1st Challenger SF, final and title at 2022 Zagreb.
